Great Spot
Great location, clean and new cabins with great spot on the water (the spring). Gorgeous place overall. Very friendly and hospitable.
Love the changes! Perfect stay!!!
My wife and I have been visiting this property for years now and I have to say… WOW!! I could tell by the website and the great communication from Susie concerning our stay that ownership must have changed. Upon arrival, we found so many upgrades and changes to the property that we were shocked. Too many to count, so I will only mention the highlights. The cabins had a fresh updated look inside and out. They thought of everything down to branded shampoo and hand wash. My wife was blown away by the supplies in the kitchen. It was fully stocked with everything you have at home and maybe more. The entire river area has been given some serious love! It was clear, mowed, and the entire dam/bridge had been rebuilt to make it a real pleasure to be on and around. There is a GIANT spring-fed natural rock hot tub on the river level under construction / in progress, that when finished, will most likely be my favorite spot!!! Can’t wait for that one! Susie was just great during our entire trip and made it so enjoyable. She even dropped off some treats at our door for us to enjoy with a sweet note!
I travel for a living (on average 150 days a year) so I know good accommodation and superior service. I can promise you this… you won’t find better on your trip to Leakey! Book now before everyone figures out what I already know. If you don’t, you might not be able to get a room for months!

Wonderful Fall Stay
A friend and I enjoyed a 3 night stay at The Springs Lodging in cabin 9, which was very convenient for us to hike both Lost Maples and Garner State Parks. The cabin was very comfortable with full size kitchen appliances where we ate our breakfasts and prepared our lunches for hiking. Our beds were very comfortable, there was lots of hot water and nice towels and toiletries. We enjoyed the view of the river from our main room. Susan, the onsite manager, was very communicative before and during our stay. Hope to return!
Wedding Weekend
We were in town for a wedding at a different venue but stayed here because this was the location for the shuttle pick up. This is DEFINITELY a beautiful and tranquil place to stay. The cabin was very spacious and super clean. Loved having morning coffee on the back porch and a great way to start your day. Stairs down to the spring was gorgeous and great place to take lots of family pictures especially down by the rocks where the water drips down. I highly recommend staying here if you just want to get away for the weekend!
Corporate Retreat Brings the Magic
My company had an executive retreat at the main lodge cabin at The Springs Lodging in Leakey a few weekends ago. The cabin was spacious and had everything we needed for a medium sized group. We happily used all the facilities including the wonderful pool, the lighted veranda, the outdoor cooking area and more. But it was the descent down an ancient rock staircase to the spring itself that kicked off the magic of the area and spawned so many ‘out of the box’ ideas for our company group. The largest cypress tree I have ever seen and the green grassy lawns leading to the crystal clear water made this a very enjoyable AND productive stay. Take your corporate group there and see what magic you can create!
